YOUPPIE wants to help young pancreatologists to make collaborative research and educational projects. We also want to enhance your visibility among the pancreatic community. We are focused on members of the European Pancreatic Club up to 45.
The YOUPPIE award was initiated in 2019 and we’re happy to announce that the application is now open for 2020!!
The award is a honorific appointment for one female and one male, young clinical or basic, scientist with a brilliant career in the field of pancreatology.
The YOUPPIE award represents a recognition for important research achievements and expansion of scientific knowledge. It it also meant to provide a basis for young pancreatologists to further progress in their research career.
We are happy to announce that the EPC council has decided that the annual meeting will NOT be canceled OR postponed BUT instead it will be held as a virtual meeting on the 2nd and 3rd of July 2020.
More information will be posted on the EPC website soon, please find below the announcement from the council:
We will see you in Paris this July – virtually!
Thanks to the support of our generous sponsors and the wonders of modern technology, we are very pleased to announce that we have decided to hold the 2020 EPC Annual Meeting as a virtual conference!
The Council has decided to keep the original meeting dates, so please keep your calendars open on Thursday, July 2nd and Friday, July 3rd, 2020 when you can look forward to keynote lectures, abstracts, satellite symposia, and stimulating online conversations – all of which you will be able to enjoy from the comfort of your own home or office.
The EPC Council decided that this solution is preferable to holding an on-site, live meeting in the fall, which is already looking to be busy for many members.
Participation in the entire meeting will be free of charge, although you will need to register to receive login details. Those who have registered for the original live meeting in Paris will be fully reimbursed.
We’re excited that the annual meeting can still go ahead and are hoping that many of you will be able to join.
Please spread the news and watch this space for further announcements and information!
